Opened in June, 2007 this place offers a new concept for dining in Lima - the combination of a seafood store and a restaurant. The chef is Pedro Miguel Schiaffino and first reviews are very good. The menu is somewhat limited but everything is well prepared and very, very fresh. The setting is very simple, prices are low to moderate and, for the moment, there are very few bottles of wine available. Service is good and there is very limited seating inside. Parking is in and enclosed area...
I guess it\'s a sign of a good economy to see so many new restaurants busting out all over Lima. The best part is that some of them are really excellent and would be award winners in any city around the globe. One such restaurant, in our opinion, is Chala in Barranco.

Lucia and I really enjoy doing this dining column and hope it gives you some ideas of new (or old) places to try. Please be sure to send us your reviews - good or bad. Pithy comments are especially welcomed!
Osaka opened in 2003 and this outstanding restuarant is now considered to be the best Japanese restaurant in Lima (although fans of Toshiro\'s might disagree). Fresh ingredients, good service and a nice setting combine to create an excellent dining experience. Comments from diners...
Lucia and I are going to have fun doing this column for the new and exciting Expat webpage and, of course, it gives us an excuse to visit both new and old restaurants in Lima and elsewhere.
Please, please send us your own comments and ratings of restaurants (good and bad) and we will add them to our guide. With a new review column, what\'s more appropriate than a review of a terrific new restaurant? It seems that new restaurants are opening all the time in Lima and \"Fusion\" is one of the best...
