Prices in Peru go up all the time so the increase of the value of the dollar won't make a difference in your buying power.

In Tarapoto, clean and big rooms are very affordable.
It's also very easy to find a room. Tarapoto has loads of students. Sharing a rooms won't be a problem. Many (poor) students rent a room together.

Last time I was in Miraflores, I ate at Chillis.

The cheapest thing on the menú was the 'Especial Del Dia'. It was good value for money and the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

The best airlines in the world are the Middle Eastern and Asian Airlines, followed by the Latin American and European Airlines. US airlines are at the bottom.

In Callao, there are a lot hairdressers and loads of Afro people.

The gap between rich and poor is getting bigger and bigger.

The rich are getting bigger houses and fancier cars but the poor in the slums on the hills around Lima will struggle more to make ends meet.
