I think if it is your primary residence you don't pay the impuesto, but I am not sure of that, and you need to actually live there. i love the ocean. but am a bit inland here in Lima to make it very often. on the occasions that i have been, it's always crowded, and food served everywhere. i live in Los Angeles, and am about a 20 min. drive from Pacific ocean. big difference in scenery.

i have no faith in medical practice here in Peru. Doc decided to go on vacation? wtf! i had blood drawn from a 20 something year old girl, she had a hell of a time doing it. a day later and i had a huge bruise on my forearm. having said that, healthcare is cheap :lol:

i'm in a similar situation, although no children/dependents are involved. would this mean that i would get 100% of all assets here in Peru? would i have to pay any capital gains taxes on real estate? obviously i'll have to hire a lawyer to help out.
