I have had the a very similar problem with my Mastercard prepaid debit card, up until last month for the last 5 years i could withdraw dollars and soles from bcp without a charge but now I cannot withdraw either....they don`t know why but I reckon they have changed their policies!

I completely agree that it is a nice district, my wife and I love San Miguel and she lived there for many years, I just think comparing it to Las Vegas is a stretch.

No, is the short answer. The competition for work here is fierce, most people who have or want decent jobs have degrees and often masters too. Unskilled labour is very poor pay I am afraid, somewhere in the region 0f 1000-1500 soles per month.
