I guess living in Huaral any shortages are magnified due to the distance from Lima.

Should the declaration page exclude certain words in order to speed up the process? What is the maximum valuation allowed before the supplement...

If your destination is London, this might have been an option.

My wife showed me an article online where the Peruvian government will be providing 380 soles to people who have been affected by the Covid-19 virus. Will this be enough to lessen the recession that is looming?

As I understand the situation, Americans have to fly into an aport approved for testing for Covid-19.
If I remember correctly, there are less than 10 of these testing airports.

This is not the first time this has happened in my 8 years of residence in Peru.
The US Embassy has to do better for US citizens.

The US Embassy in Lima is not replying to emails.
Is anyone else having this problem?
How are they affected by the emergency curfew?

Again, it appears the US Embassy has failed its US residents in Peru.
When are they going to start doing what they are paid very well to do - help US citizens?

I have lived in Huaral almost 2 years; I have cottages to rent for tourists.
The weather is always very pleasant in Huaral.
I must agree it is not as beautiful as Huaraz.

Alan, that is my feeling 100%.
Especially when I informed the Embassy of the issue.
I sometimes feel the US Embassy is just "going thru the motions" vs. some of the other Embassies.

In typical bureaucratic fashion, I notified the US Embassy about this issue when it happened to me.
A friend who went to the Embassy to pick up a renewed passport tells me there is no sign or warning.
What is the large (& well-compensated) Embassy staff doing with all their time?

People have told us the Bitel cell phones use inferior components, maybe your tech can verify this.

IMO, any company that sells an item of "value" should have parts to fix this item. This applies to a car to a vacuum cleaner & everything in between. The phone is not functional as the cracks are extensive over the faceplate but does work if you have the patience for the various button...

How can a person qualify for a "foreign license exemption"?
I have been told the Peruvian driver's test is mostly about history questions & very little about actual driving skills. My Spanish is not good, so I would probably have trouble understanding the questions.
