Re: Communes in Peru?

Woody,
I think there is still a German commune a little out of Lamas.( In the north)
I would also imagine that there could be in Oxapampa...but not sure.

G'day all, I am curious to know whose money is financing all this ? Can any informed person enlighten me,please? ( and I don't mean Beep Beep) Why do I have the suspicion that it is Chinese money, as the financier is not disclosed here. IF it's a loan from China to Peru, then this could eventuate in...

Re: Interbank charges/fees.

G'day Adrian, As of this week my Aussie Navy pension arrives in Soles to my Interbank account....mission accomplished. To top it all off, Interbank did not hit me with an International transfer cost(as was the case with Scotiabank)...which Interbank originally said could be approx' 75 Soles. The onl...

@Alchemizt....Once you have exceeded your tourist visa days, you are technically illegal. If you are detected at any check point and Migraciones are informed, they will give you 15 days to leave the country normally. It can vary. Now, not having your passport as a means of indentification is another ...

Re: Interbank charges/fees.

G'day Adrian, My Aussie money transfer company (WorldFirst) can only send in US dollars to here, they said cannot do in Soles, when I asked some time ago. So will have to try with my pension from the RBA...direct from them to Scotia. The one thing that worries me is that I pushed Scotiabank Peru, ba...

Re: Interbank charges/fees.

Thank you Adrian. I am aware of the interbanking code & SWIFT details etc, as that is how my pension comes now, and also other transfers by my transfer company in Aussie. I will give it a try in Soles and open a separate account for that and not tell Scotiabank my reason. I will then advise my A...

G'day Adrian, I need to explain a bit more. G'day Dutchy, I understood that with Peru and China making a FTA (Free Trade Agreement) some time back, that this eliminated import duties here on Chinese products. And , yes, they will sell at a loss for as almost as long as it takes to destroy almost all local makers....that's their tactic, and th...
