Re: Is overstaying my tourist visa still no big deal?

Thanks for the information, guys! That is a 450% increase in penalties, from $1 USD to $4.50 USD, but fortunately it won't break the bank. I'll stay here for a few months illegally, shamelessly enjoying my life as an international scofflaw. Samthesham, I am glad that my audacity amazes you, my ex-g...

Re: Is overstaying my tourist visa still no big deal?

The audacity of some people never ceases to amaze me. Since people can no longer skirt the law, suddenly Peru has lost its luster. The bloom is officially off the Peruvian rose. But my advice is to be a good tourist and enjoy the treasures of Peru like cheap menu grub and democratic prices while you...

Anyone know where to buy these?
Thanks.

You're in luck, Chuck.
Quaker Oats makes steel cut oats so just get your friend's double naught special agent to throw in a few boxes along with the vitamins.

Any good places to get authentic Italian cuisine. Specifically spaghetti with Italian meatballs and
sauce.
Tired of eating spaghetti with chicken.

The problem is Peruvians prefer bread that's hard as a rock instead of soft. Go figure that one out.

Visiting Arequipa

gorgemartin wrote:Hello,

When is the best time to visit? Is it easy to get around? Arequipas food and most popular restaurants?

Anytime is good.
Easy to get around but easier if you speak Spanish.
World class food to be eaten.
Bring your appetite.

Re: How can I look for language schools in Trujillo / Tacna

Any reason that you're relocating to Trujillo / Tacna?

Seems your best bet would be to remain in Lima if possible and attend one there.

Re: Looking for help from all musicians

Looking for help from all musicians, Hello everyone, I am a songwriter and have compiled 20 songs that I don't think will change the World but are a good enough start to seek your help. I am looking for musicians in the Lima area who would be interested in seeing where they can be taken. The songs ...

Re: Adoption in Peru?

You asked "once we legally adopt, doesn't the child become an American dependent?" Then you asked how will this affect your Social Security? Finally, you mentioned making formal arrangement with the parents to take care of the child. What is a formal arrangement? According to Google (fine ...

Re: Building a home in miraflores

My main recomendation would be to make sure you are physically present to monitor the construction. It is a very good recommendation We should be present - not only during the building of a property - but also during something that could be "easier" as the remodelation of our house We sho...

Re: Is Remax Legit? For buying an apartment?

This kind of thing happens in the U.S. all the time.
Someone pretends to have a place for sale/rent or poses as the agent/owner, give them the deposit and you never hear from them again.
I'm calling scam.

The best solution is not to book non refundable then you wouldn't have to worry about getting a refund.

Re: Adoption in Peru?

This sounds suspicious. You're going to Ayacucho on a "honeymoon" then ask about adopting children up there???
There has to be some financial angle involved.
