Thanks for all your input. Our last three meals were at El Bigote, Café Café, and Pardo's chicken right before we left our apartment at 11:00 pm for our 1:20 am flight. Nothing spectacular, but we had many memorable meals during our 2 month stay.

Agreed. However, reviewing the OP, this person is on a business trip in Miraflores (probably not much extra time to travel around areas of Lima) and has his expenses paid, so does not have to bargain shop for restaurants. Just trying to be helpful here.

Actually, the hotel on Benavides and Larco is the Estelar. They have a top floor restaurant and bar. Thunderbird is on the next corner of Alcanfores. Don't think the Thunderbird has anything on the top floors except rooms and apartments.

After almost a week of seafood, we had lunch yesterday at Casa Adina in Zorritos. Had the half rack of baby back ribs and baked sweet potato. Delicious! Think it was around 35 soles. Other great menu items as well.

Where I lived for a while in the states they'd give you a funny look at the check out line if you didn't bring your own bags no matter how many groceries you had. Not true! Certain diseases and illnesses require massive doses of specific vitamins, impossible to achieve thru normal eating of fruits and veggies/balanced diet. I wish it was that simple. Nope, no chimichangas, or for that matter, regular burritos. The burrito bar, as mentioned before, is the best place in Lima for burritos. They don't have chimichangas either. Most of these smaller places don't have the capability for deep frying, which is part of the process for chimichangas. Never...

Went today for the lunch buffet. On a scale of 10, I'd rate it 7. Lots of variety, both hot and cold items. Many asian customers, which is a good sign. They also have another restaurant in San Ididro.
