Re: Pisco Sour Class

But why would you need special pisco sour classes? I think that on YouTube you can find a lot of instruction films... In my house I regurarly prepare like Pisco- and Maracuya Sour as well as f.i. Capitan and to my opinion (and that of others) they actually taste "quite well" Never heard of...

Rentista (and some other "foreign resident types") travelling outside Peru: new requirement?

The other day I read on the Migraciones site under "Salida y reingresa ciudadanes extranjeros residentes" that, when leaving or re-entering Peru, also the following document(s) should be presented: "(Para las calidades migratorias de; Trabajadores Residentes (WRA), Inversionista (IIA)...

CLARO (serious) internet problems 4G/cellphone

Since a couple of months I have serious internet problems with my CLARO cellphone (Samsung Galaxy S5). As long as I stay in my house using the WIFI connection, there is no problem at all: I can use all apps, without any problem (OK I also have a very slow WIFI connection, but that is another story)....

surfing lessons in Miraflores.

There is quite a number of surfing schools along the Circuito de Playas in Miraflores.
Could anyone recommend one (or more) of them?
What do their lessons cost?
Thanks!

For drinking I use bottled of boiled water. For washing my mouth after cleaning my teeth, I also use tapwater as I don't swallow the water. For cleaning my vegies, including lettuce and tomatoes, I use tapwater. Not really "perfect", but sofar without problems (ok, without taking into cons...

Re: Pedestrian Fly Over Parque Maria Reiche, will it EVER be completed?

Received a reply from mr. Muñoz Wells, alcalde de MF, saying that it is the responsibility of Lima Metropolitano. So I today replied, that, to my opinion, despite that it might be the responsability of Lima Metropolitano, it is (in the sole) interest of the habitants of MF that this work is complete...

Pedestrian Fly Over Parque Maria Reiche, will it EVER be completed?

Passing on the Malecon de La Marina, one can see a sign at the beginning of Parque Maria Reiche saying: "Disculpe las molestias estamos trabajando para usted". It concerns the works on the (re)new(ed) pedestrian fly-over, crossing the Circuito de Playas at that point. However, since MORE t...

W.a. using Skype on your cellphone/laptop or tablet. I use Skype to call my mother daily to her phone in The Neth. (she does not have a comp.) Re: By bus from Lima to Sta.Cruz/Bolivia

Sergio, tks for the advise! I already looked at LAN, USD 299. but together with charges it became USD 405. However (your advise!) there was an offer of Peruvian Airlines which (including charges) came upon a total of USD 305 return ticket. Although I love travelling by bus (f.e. Lima - Cusco with Ex...

Paying the annual tasa, more specifically: claiming exemption for rentistas

The rentista part in the relative article on this site has changed. I forgot all about claiming my exempt (that's to say: I was not aware that when being exempted by law for paying the annual taxes, you still have to claim that exempt: that's imo a really "high level" bureaucracy). But ok,...

Re: New immigration law

A practical problem. Normally airlines check whether a traveler has all the necessary papers before being allowed on a plane. But what will happen in this case? As I think the airline cannot check whether a traveler already stayed 183 days in Peru during the previous 365 days, the traveler will be a...

Re: Locating a Lima resident by the address

In the municipality (of Miraflores, so certainly also of San Isidro and other parts of town) they have a registration of the properties and the owners, also used for collecting taxes. I presume that the registration key is the property. But I think it that you can do a search on (correct) name, f.i....

Leaving Peru with a CE rentista

I'm living here with a Rentista status and going to The Netherlands for two months.
What is the best thing to do?
Leave Peru on my CE Rentista or on my Dutch passport?
And before leaving Peru do I have to do some paperwork for DIGEMIN or other official institutions?
Thanks again!
