Thanks argidd,

I have thought about that with Scotia and will inquire here in Toronto to see what they say...i guess the high interest rate explains why most peruvians work for a large down payment before buying...the rates are just insane!

when i shipped stuff to cajamarca from lima i did it by cruz del sur and it arrived safely, quickly and very cheap. of course they dont guarantee you will get it in top condition, but if you wrap it well all will be fine! to be honest though, i would put it in storage if you dont want to sell it, ha...

if i were you, i would learn as much spanish as possible if you want to work here and not teach english. its very difficult to find a job without speaking the language. once you arrive, and you start applying, they will love that you are billingual...if anything comes up i will post it for you...but...

if your looking for pizza when you go out ...try EL ITALIANO in La Victoria....the owners are 2 guys from rome and they make authentic italian pizza.....their restaurant also has alot of great italian food...i mean its catered to peruvians, so being italian i see a difference, but overall its good!
