Re: Driving to Peru for a 1 year work contract?

Mexico and Central American countries are kind of sensitive about allowing foreign vehicles to enter. This is a tax issue because a lot of people bring cars and trucks there to sell, many of which are stolen. You need to explore the regulations prior to getting into something that could cost you mon...

The US has a K-1 or fiancée visa. I am just wondering if Peru has anything similar? You might want to check with the closest Peruvian consulate and ask. I do know that if you are entering the US as a foreigner for the purpose of marrying a US citizen and you admit that you are coming to get married ...

My wife is Peruvian and she swears by Yerba Luisa (Lemon Grass). You can buy it in the produce section of your local grocery. Boil the stalks into a tea and enjoy. It has a lemony flavor and smell and IT REALLY WORKS on most tummy upsets. If you have a large pot on a balcony, you can easily grow it,...

There are probably good reasons to try the bus: 1. Economic factors. 2. To see the country close up. 3. To more slowly adjust to the altitude (important if you have altitude sickness issues). You have already heard the negative side. If you want a REAL adventure, take a double decker bus and reserve...

If you're smart (and you can live without the extra cash), you'll hang on to your silver and try to accumulate even more when it bottoms out soon. Within a year or two, it is going to skyrocket, as will gold.

Or, if you are in So California, we can meet up and I'll pay you spot for it.
