My view, for what it's worth, and bear in mind I'm not in Lima, is that it is a complete waste of time and money. I'm pretty sure that's a rule that just changed in the last few years, about those with addresses outside of Peru not having to vote. I'm sure a good googling would find the information.

A big part of what my husband says attracted him to me was that I was the opposite of everything his ex-wife (Peruvian) is.

We've had problems, but we worked them out. We've been together since 2002, married since 2006.

We have Claro 3play, the 6mbps package. This is the speedtest I just ran, just after 6pm, one of the busiest times of day. We've been very happy with Claro.

Private detectives in Peru aren't very expensive (comparatively speaking), I'm sure with information on her lawyer, her name, etc that she could be found. I would assume your husband has names for her family and the areas/districts where they live, it's doubtful she'd be too far away from her family.

Can't her lawyer be forced to give that information, since she has broken international law? I realize there's lawyer/client confidentiality, but I believe the child's rights overrule that.

Kelly, you are correct in essence... There is an EXIT FEE, but most air carriers build the price into the ticket - but there still is a FEE. I remember seeing long lines in my departure in Nov. of 2011; but I had an itemized list of my airfare & the FEE was included. You're right Philip, my bad...

The couple disappeared after they returned to Lima, not in the Cuzco area, so it didn't have anything to do with the threat mentioned in the warning from the Embassy. There is no longer an airport exit fee, as far as I know. I believe the cost is included in the price of all tickets now, though I may be mistaken.

'After I had oral surgery, my husband bought something called "Happy Dent" that says "uso pediatrico" right on the little tube. The Ingredient is benzocaina.

I imagine if you describe what you need to the pharmacist, they'll know what you're talking about.

I always set the fare ahead of time.

I've heard of some people getting in the taxi and pretending to talk on their phone, telling a friend that they are on the way, and giving the information (tag #) of the taxi they are getting into.

Oh it's worse - the bathrooms all have windows facing our yard. Our upstairs had to build a wall to keep from having a bathroom window facing right into her patio.
