Re: Polvos Azules, The Tsunami in Japan and a matter of taste

Interesting, the excuses people can come up with to justify in participating in this crime. They are either just too chicken to just out and out steal it off the shelf or they might just simply think that "If I buy at legal copy they will just take my money and spend it on something stupid"

hey bmike1, In my apartment I had to add about 30 feet of coax cable to get to a tv in a bedroom. When I turned on the tv in the bedroom the signal was very weak so I added an amplifier. Re: Police attacked gays kissing in the center of Lima

Serionlv presents a sad sad story. Not completely restricted to the gay community. People somehow fall in love and get married and then one day somehow they fall out and leave each other, usually not very happy with each other, and stones are thrown. What I am confused with, in stories such as Serio...

I did not mention the atrocities brought against LGBTs because honestly I did not know they were as wide spread as you seem to want it to sound. Suffice to say that even one such occurrence is too many. Being from the US and that is from which I speak. In the US it is illegal to kill or injure or to...

How does, a group human beings, going to a public establishment (Woolworths) with the sole purpose of doing what the other human beings have come to do (eat), compare to a group of human beings going to the steps of a private institution (The Catholic Church) and doing (kissing) what the other human...

There might be some truth to not being able to ride a motorcycle in central Lima. I asked what was going on and the best I could understand was motorcycles were not allowed in Lima....

Re: TACA Follows Lan - $178 Fee for Non-Residents

Could it be that the reason why 75% of the people on this board, and the majority of travel sites around the world all agree this is poor practice is because they are not residents of Peru? Naw, couldn't be.
If it is such a poor practice, I have to wonder, why is Taca following LANs lead?

Re: TACA too! Extra $ 178 for non residents. Domestic flights.

I think the $178 could be looked at as more of a sanction that could be imposed on a non resident for buying a ticket he is not eligible for, rather than being looked at as a fee. It might seem more understandable if looked at in that manner. There are people out there that will see a lower ticket p...

I think it is actually a fine and not a fee. A fee is something you pay to get something additional. In this case it is a fine because the ticket was bought under false pretenses. Since you are aware of the $178 fine, LAN seems to have done a pretty good job in making you and others aware of the con...

I find "gringo fee" a bit misleading. A fine could be levied on anyone claiming to be a resident of Peru to thereby take advantage of LANs gracious offer to Peruvian residents to travel at reduced rates. To date, however, there is no evidence of anyone ever having to pay that fine. A few m...
