Re: Recommend an English-Speaking Dentist?

RollTide: knowing dentists who are your friends doesn't mean that they are actually any good. And the last thing you want is a newby prodding around your mouth and making mistakes. And if they are recent graduates, probably they have had little hands on experience in a clinic with real patients. Gen...

Kirby. You recommend her because you are married to her... or are at least on the website under the names of the workers. Your posts should be removed.

Tax

How much can you earn before you pay any tax? And is that tax automatically deducted from your pay? What are the tax brackets before you move in to the next category and pay a higher percentage tax? Does your employer take care of it completely?

So, it's been a while since Ollanta took centre stage. What are some of the things he has done and what impact have they had on the country - good or bad? I see Peru growing very well economically and things seem to be OK with little major change, considering a lot of wealthier Peruvians were terrif...

Definitely Perudental.com are the best. Amazing new clinic, great doctors, 3D cad cam crowns and other stuff all in just one appointment. No messing about and get the job done quick. That's what I like.

Re: Music Playing in Lima

There's a big group of people that get together every Sunday evening from about 6.30 in Parque Maria Reiche, block 6 of Malecon de la Marina. There are some tribal drum bangings, didgerydoo's and some beats of various musical instruments going on there until around 11pm. You might make some contacts...

The teeth check is done with a dentist there who completes a tooth chart to register missing teeth, if your wisdom teeth have been removed or not and to take details like that.

Yep, I guess its to identify you if you turn up dead...

Re: Interpol - changes in processing your info

No, not according to past posts (which typically, i cannot find now). I read that you should take an A4 envelope with you as they often run out, which interpol put your file/info into and they then give you the pack which you mail yourself. ''You can get your carnet long before the interpol report c...

Claro also has what it calls Cargmontones. Call *779 and you can multiply your remaining saldo by up to 4 times. Follow the instructions or get someone who understands the system to call. Your 20 sole card can become an 80 sol card by just clicking a few buttons on your phone. Takes less than 30 sec...

I'm just saying that this guy knows almost every person on the immigration desks, so if someone needed 183 days, then he can do it for you, while other taxistas may only get you 90 days or whatever depending on the mood of the official behind the desk. It helps to have a buddy behind the desk. Whene...

Also depends on the mood of the official who sees you. You might get a miserable one who'll only give you two or three months. It's really pot luck. And apparently it's much easier to do the Tacna border hop than the Ecuador one, according to past posts. Alternatively, you can stay over your visa an...

Mr Lockwood. Thanks for that information. Hi all. I want to stay in Peru permanently but have a question. Does anyone have experience with this that had once been arrested a...

I agree with these other posts. I'd say just get some cheap paint and do it. This will save you a lot of time and effort and frustration dealing with the owner that is unlikely to budge. And leaving it to the owner may see other ''charges'' and expensive paint/painter being used. Not ideal, either w...
