Just about all of the museums are closed on Mondays. The exception, I believe, is the Museo del Convento de San Francisco in Lima centro. When we were in Colombia last year, we stopped at a grocery store and bought a Claro sim card. They put it into my unlocked phone for me, gave me my phone number and I was good to go.

Thanks. I'll check that place out. Meanwhile, one of my favorite restaurants has table cloths made out of exactly the fabric I want. They told me today they bought the fabric at Gamarra, cuadra 4. So I think I need to go look there.
