Being that they actually ask you if you want your soda cold when you order in a restaurant (who on this planet wants to drink a warm soda?) I suppose they just don't care about how cold it is. I don't get it either man.

Tone and/or whether or not the person saying it is a friend makes a big difference. But to pretend it's a 100% neutral term in Peru and is not derogatory in nature is not in line with reality. It doesn't bother me though, unless it's hurled as a weapon.

Yeah it's definitely the first time I've heard of a mass attack on tourists. It's usually no more than a handful of people.

no worries you can get them pretty much everywhere.

There are very cheap "clinicas" in most districts that can take care of whatever vaccinations you need. And for cheap, under 40 bucks usually at most.

Sunday of el Comercial paper and like Kelly said just looking around for signs does wonders.

Most rentable properties have signs in the window so you can scope out the type of neighborhood you like and walk around with a pen and pad and collect numbers
