Peru keeps an artificial peg to the dollar (fluctuation between 2 to 3 soles) which creates internal inflation because not all the products that are imported come from the United States. I am sorry I'm not an economist could you explain it to me in plain English ? And a source would be nice as well...

Good progress indeed, what I do find to be to be disturbing is the price of EVERYTHING ! Food has doubled, taxis , gas, I am sure the cost of living is up. Is your marriage legally registered in Peru? if it is, then yes, you have to sign on the sell of the asset, but if not, then no, you have no authority on signing anything. My husband and I were married in the states, but have yet to register our marriage here so all asset sales have been in his name...
