Yea, I have lived in Peru for quite some time. I am just looking for something different, but, within Peru - So, something smaller than Lima, could be in the mountains, although I think I would prefer the lowland near the jungle, near a river atleast. Wouldnt mind that it does see some tourist traff...

I do know a couple doctors, and also know one who does visit prisons on a regular basis just to volunteer, but yes it wouldnt come free. PM me if interested.

Obelisks. The sea south Mancora in Peru is cold. There are often big waves which is good for surfing but not so good more generally. I agree with the posters above that you might be disappointed.
