If you are an american citizen, and you adopt a child under 18 on foriegn soil, they become us citizens. If you adopt on us soil, they have to be 15 or under. And i would not ghink it a good idea to adopt a child to "give them away. " IMHO.

So if it is not a crime, like speeding, why do they give you a fine for overstaying? I am sure it is not a felony, but at least a misdemeanor or the Peruvian legal equivalent, surely? What if you cannot pay the $1 per day? I have read that you will be held until your debt is paid.

I mix it up. Coffee in the morning at about 6 after I arrive at work. Then I do the Dew at about 9. Another Dew or ice tea at lunch. Then a cup of coffee at about 2 to push me through the day till dinner. :lol:

Not a frequent flier by any means on the commercial airlines. So if I want any of those perks, I got to pay for them! I fly a lot, but I got to heat my own meals, and I can sleep in the galley of I want. :) I guess I am probably better off that way than flying commercial. :lol:

I love camping so I'm not worried about the 'ick' factor of traipsing things into the house but I'm usually wearing slippers to give my shoes a breather and for the comfort. Yes. I have read here that a gym membership is really costly in Lima. So a good option, would be a gym in your own condo! Maybe you would use it more often if it was just an elevator ride away, instead of taxi ride away!

My experience with my wife's family is that all the siblings come in and donate blood ahead of any operation. Now emergency services are another thing. I would venture to guess the 5% is used for that? There have been blood drives started here that have met with some success if I remember correctly....

Yes .. I think it is pretty cool mine have dual citizenship! I wish my mother had doe that for me. But then again in the 50's there was no internet, just a bus ride to NYC or Chicago to the German embassy!! :)
