You did fine don't worry about it! $2000 for 206 meters brand new on the Malecon(nicely furnished) is a good price. I have one that I rent out ST for $4500.00 a month and it is rented 80% of the time. Five years ago when I was first renting anything nice was $1100-$1300. So be happy!

Looking at the rental prices of the appartments in Lima they are between 20% and 30% higher than I was paying 12 months ago!!! Is this right? Thats an incredible increase in the middle of a credit crises in a country where a majority of the population could be fairly described as "poor". ...
