We have 5 RSVP's so far...hoping for at least 10 more.

The most exciting part is several of them are new names.

Cheers dears

We are now at 7 RSVP's and have a few new faces, so this should be exciting.

We still want to hear from others, so please do not forget to let us know if you plan on attending.

My suggestion, every time you find a word or phrase you do not know..a good place to start is going to www.google.com and type in the word or phrase in the search box. In this case, I typed in RSVP for you so you only need to click here to find out what it means. It is said that if you do your own research, you better retain the information.

euroman, RSVP is a French acronym used in English (English has a lot of European words in its vocabulary):

Respondez si'l vous plait. It means, "respond, please." In other words, tell us definitively if you will be coming.

Since you are German, if I am not mistaken euroman, chances are that you are gay friendly. If so, I welcome you as a friend.

Well gang, remember that the potluck is this coming Sunday the 29th at 3 p.m. at my house. PM me for address, directions, etc. So far we have about a dozen people as far as I can tell, maybe a few more. Princesa, aka Daddy's Little Monarch, has agreed to grant an audience to all in attendance, especially those who pass her bits of food under the table.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. I had some cancellations on my facebook, so we are down to about 6-8 people, but still hoping for more.

Cheers

I want to thank everybody who came on Sunday the 29th. We had a nice crowd of 14 altogether (Princesa and 13 of her bipedal subjects). Americorps made lovely spaghetti with salsa di pomodoro and garlic bread (and also a goodly portion of a different kind of "sauce" known by Italians as sfacciataggine).

Curlyguy brought a delicious apple pie and there was Chicken Paprika, a delicious cake, loads of appetizers and enough soda pop for an alligator's bubble bath. We all had a good time and there were 6 new faces, including a fellow from Venezuela.

Now we're into June, and it's time to start planning the next get-together for this month. I know Americorps is still getting settled in to his new place, and Jim is out of the country until the end of this month. If necessary I can host again, or perhaps one of our other members would like to do the honors. 8)

OK let's plan on a potluck on the final weekend of June, Saturday the 25th or Sunday the 26th. There might be a possibility of holding off until July 2nd or 3rd in order to celebrate 4th of July, but I am not certain that a U.S.-themed potluck would be entirely appropriate given the various nationalities. In any event, I'd like to ask for some input here as to preferred day and date? Thanks.

That sounds great, I am in. I would prefer the 2nd or 3rd, but not for the holiday, just because that weekend is more open, but I will be available for either.

Well, it looks like no one else is going to be able to host this time around, so we'll have it at my place again on Sunday, July 3rd at 3 p.m. Please RSVP via PM, and I will send you the address and directions to get here. This will again be a potluck.

OK gang, so far we have 11 people on facebook that are coming and another 8 people more, for a total of 19. We'll see how many are able to make it, but we are close to capacity, and my house is pretty good size. If anyone else would like to come, please let me know. Thanks.

Ok folks, we have not met in some time.

I say it is time to rev it up. It is a new year, it is summer weather, and I miss you folks.

I would like to suggest a meeting Saturday, Feb 25 or Sunday Feb 26.

Please let me know which day would be better for you.

I can host but would love it if someone else volunteers.

Let me know.

Hi all,

just saw this, but I would like to catch up and see how everyone's going. I would prefer the Saturday, but the Sunday is entirely fine too as I know some people have work commitments on Saturdays.

I can't really host a meal, but if there's only a few of us, I could host some drinks and we could have some snacks.

Thoughts?

Stranger.

For me, it has to be Sunday. I am totally swamped otherwise. I think it will be a small crowd, about 5-6 so if you can host we will come potluck with some drinks or snacks to share.

Thanks so much, Stranger

Sunday will be fine, I can have a few people around anytime in the afternoon. What times work for people on a Sunday? I'll have to work on Monday, so I'd rather it didn't start too late, so maybe mid-adrernoon, around 3 or 4pm? I am flexible thuugh, so let me know if anyone has any other preferences.

Drinks and snacks sound good, so if people PM me, we can make sure nobody brings the same thing and I can pass on my address.

Hi all,

Just a quick reminder that this Sunday (26 Feb) is open for anyone wanting to get together for a catch up at my place in the afternoon/evening. PM me for any details. So far it's been a pretty quiet response, so feel free to get in touch and get the details.

Hey all,

I've just found out the private message I sent didn't actually send. Sorry to anyone who was waiting for info, I thought everything had been sent, and was wondering why no one had replied so far, oh well.

As we were supposed to meet today, I think it's fair to say that it's now a bit short-notice, so I suggest we try again in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have any dates that would work?

Stranger.

I am in a good space to host another potluck.

Anyone interested? Maybe Sunday the 22nd of This month, (September 2013)

The more the merrier.

Please feel free to invite friends as well.

We are now up to 12, with an additional 5 regrets for people who will be out of town.

I am excited about reactivating the group and I really hope we can find a few more.

I will be providing the usual spagetti, but before you run screaming from the room, I will have our housekeeper make it because as I remind her every week, she is a great cook.

I have plates and cups and napkins and silverwear and ice.

Everyone should bring one dish to share with everone PLUS a beverage.

Dishes could include bread, chips, deserts, salads, veggies, cheeses, or other main dishes. We are very informal, so you can cook or purchased at the store is the same.

It is also important that everyone feel invited, so please, if bringing food will create a burdon, don´t worry, your presence is the most important gift.

Let me know if you have any questions. I will be sending out a PM with my address closer to the date to those who have RSVP´d.

Cheers

Hey folks, please remember the potluck tomorrow. It is not too late to RSVP. I would like to hear from you by the latest tomorrow morning to know how many are coming.

Again, no rules or obligation. I ask everyone to bring a side dish or salad or desert or snack or main course, but if that is difficult, we want most is your friendship.

I am sending a PM with my address for those who have RSVP´d

Hasta Manana.

Well. They are dropping like flies. I had 8 cancellation between late last night and early lhis morning. It looks like it will be a more intimate group of 8 at most and maybe just 6.

If anyone else needs to cancel..I understand just let me know.

This will be a nice intimate setting plus We will try again soon as at least 6 regulars are out of town now as well.

Hey guys,

Sadly, due to a personal family emergency, I have left Peru and returned to the USA.

At this point, I do not know if or when I will return to Peru, but rest assured I will do everything within my power to do so as fast as possible.

I hope that one of you will pick up the group and move forward. Please send me a PM if you are interested and I will be glad to help in any way possible.

Lots of love,

Kevin
