Baseball playoffs?

Postby amylimena » Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:21 am

Hi everyone! Anyone have any idea how ESPN on my basic Cable Magico package decides which playoff games to play? They've had about half of the games that I want to watch (die-hard Giants fan here) and I really want to watch tonight and the Cable Magico's website is really awful and I can't figure it out!

The Corner Bar will certainly play it today, right?

The Corner will have it for sure. Also the sports book upstairs in Atlantic City casino has all the games. They have closed circuit satellite to the US and get all US local channels. You may have to make a small wager for them to let you hang around for the entire game and you probably won't get audio. I'm pretty sure it will not be on Cable Magico. I have DirecTV which has the same ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN-HD as cable magico and the on screen guide shows no games for today. There was only 1 game on all day yesterday.

Thank you!!! I've also seen a few games at the new Tony Roma's near Ovalo Gutierrez. I guess I'll just play it safe and head to The Corner. =D

We bought the online postseason package at mlb.tv. Cost was $10-$20 (my husband bought it so not sure exactly how much). Games are streamed live (so you need a halfway decent internet connection) and also archived for later viewing. Just watched the Giants win the division series live! Not as good as ESPN HD, but better than nothing.

Any luck at The Corner getting the games that weren't on cable or DirecTV?

Any luck? I remember seeing the World Series there, I don't know what teams were featured for the LCS'. I was able to watch regular season Yankees games on ESPN Deportes.

No need to leave your house for really any sporting event.. I watched the World Cup, American football, NBA and now the playoffs. It's free as well.

To make things more comfortable, I bought myslef a HDMI cable to hook up my Plasma to my laptop so that I can watch the game from my TV.

I watched my Yankees get whipped last night. The game was on ESPN in Spanish, but it just isn't the same.

Hope this helps.
Regards,

George
