NHL on TV?

Postby polomasta » Wed Oct 20, 2010 9:50 pm

Does anyone know off-hand if any of the TV companies here in Lima offer an NHL package or air any games during the season?

Can't seem to turn anything up on their websites, but thought I would ask here in case someone has first hand knowledge!

Thanks!

Since VS channel in N. America seems to carry 99% of non local games you'll not see a single NHL game on cable or DirecTV down here if the last 3 years are any indication. Your best bet is a decent internet connection and NHL Pass on the nhl.com website. It costs about $150 for the entire season. I usually purchase it for the 2nd half of the season after the NFL is over and it works well. Even The Corner sports bar has very limited NHL coverage.

Have you tried:

http://www.firstrow.net/sports/ice-hockey.html ?

It's free. I watch baseball and basketball on it all the time.

thanks for the tips everyone! I figured NHL.com would be sort of a last resort... I've also watched lots of games on Veetle.com before and the quality is usually OK.

Still much prefer to see the bonecrushing action in HD on a big screen ;-)
