Hallowe'en

Postby Polaron » Sat Oct 22, 2011 6:11 pm

Hallowe'en is a popular holiday in the United States, Canada and some European countries, but it is far less popular south of the Rio Bravo (or Rio Grande, as it is known to gringos). That is certainly true here in Peru.

Is anyone on these boards planning to celebrate All Hallowed's Eve? If so, what are you going to do?

I've bought a couple bags of candy for the kids that usually pass by here.

Well, I haven't really been looking for a costume, and now it's rather late, so I think I'll just put a potato in my pants and go as a dictator.

Polaron,

Remember to put the potato in the front.

Yeah, I know. It's an old joke.

Go to Avenida Libertad in San Miguel after dark. It's looks like Halloween every day up there.

You're right Jeff. It is an old joke but still funny (guy at the beach with a potato in the back of his trunks). Love it.
