BOTTLED WATER???

Postby Philipc4u59 » Thu Sep 05, 2013 8:17 am

GM again,

I am using a lot of bottled water, when I send out samples of my coffee.
I want to purchase the best water available & not sure which direction to proceed.
Is all bottled water in Peru - similar? How are these waters treated (reverse osmosis), etc.?

Is their any availability of all natural "spring water" as in the US; I don't see this in the mercados?

Thanks for your help,
Philip

As anywhere in the world, not all water is the same…
You’ve got San Mateo, which is spring water, it is more expensive. But people with kidney stones, or with kidney stone history should be careful, since mineral water with calcium can make you produce more stones.
Agua San Luis and Agua Cielo are purified, so basically, it’s tap water with a bit of chlorine…
If you want premium water, you can get Evian… but of course you will have to pay about 10 soles for 250 ml… The other international waters like San Pellegrino are usually sparkling waters (which I doubt you want).
