Where to buy Puff Pastry / Danish Pastry

Postby JanD » Fri Mar 13, 2015 12:53 pm

Anyone knows where to buy (deep frozen) Puff Pastry also called Danish Pastry?

It is "quite difficult" to prepare it yourself and in The Netherlands it is available (deep frozen) in almost all supermarkets.
However, sofar can't find it here...

It is actually quite easy to make. And nothing beats home made pastry. Here's a fab recipe:

I've been here 3 years and still can't find premade puff or flakey pastry, so I make it by hand. I agree with the OP, pastry is a bit tricky, sometimes I get it right and sometimes not.

Sometimes you can find puff pastry at Wong (Av. Benavides con Av. Panama); but it's not deep frozen. They have it on the cooling shelves near the cream cheeses / masa para empanadas. The dough is already rolled out and packed in a flat plastic bag.
