The material on my sofa is splitting. I need to re-cover it with something better. Any suggestions for upholstery companies?

I would be happy to hear about a place. I have 8 high end Patio chairs that need re-covering.

What you need is a "tapizador" de muebles..

You might begin to look for the fabric "material" in Avda. Iquitos, La VIctoria in a place as MultiTop; then search for a good tapizador in the "mercado" near your location.

It´s telling that nobody has been able to recommend a tapizador. We have had several experiences here, all of them bad. As a friend put it: "todos cortan con la misma tijera". If you do find someone good, please let us know. We are also in the market for one now.
