Postby MJoyLaufer » Wed Jun 08, 2016 4:40 pm

Hello all,

Would you mind letting me know how many days/hours? I have to be out of Peru before I can re-enter?

Thanks,

Mahajoy

There's no short or easy answer to that question. Mostly going to depend upon how long you have been there already during the past 12 months. Technically officially if you have already been here for 183 days then you have to wait a minimum of 160 days to reenter the country. According to one US Source who was not allowed to go back into the country.

However this is Latin America and solutions to problems like that often come about the more creativity that one employs. If your permission to be in the country has not yet expired and if you qualify for a Visa I would suggest that you start the process immediately if possible. You'll need to have all of your documents together first before you can start the process but if you want to stay here any length of time it is much cheaper and easier if you just get a visa to stay here legally.
