Cheap Wedding Reception Venues

Postby Doc_Boogie » Sun Mar 04, 2018 7:20 pm

Hi.
I will be flying to Lima, Peru, in Mid May, to marry my fiance. We will go to the Municipalidad de Santiago de Surco for the wedding
ceremony. I am seeking some ideas of cheap places for a wedding reception, for between 10 to 20 guests. Appreciate the help! Thanks.

The first thing that occurs to me as a cheap but entertaining place in Surco is Parque de la Amistad. It has paddle boats, a train ride, ducks and geese to feed, and some good locations for photos.

Hi.. hard to recommend without knowing much about the bride's family, and if you want to have music and dancing, or just a nice, noisy meal. Since the group is small, one option is to find a nice Chifa with a large, separate room for your guests. That way you control the food expense by preordering, and can negotiate a corkage fee if you'd like to bring in some wine.

By the way, you can also arrange with the Surco Municipality to have champagne served after the civil ceremony, and you can usually hang out for half an hour or so.

We had our reception at Rustica in Barranco.
Small group. Set me back about $250.
I felt that was a democratic price to pay.
Large and in charge!

Rustica is a good option, especially from 2 - 5 pm when they are not crowded.
