Crossing Boarders in a borrowed car

Postby maccy_G » Mon Oct 15, 2018 12:34 pm

We are thinking of borrowing our Peruvian Friend's car to do some travelling, however are wondering if crossing boarders to continue travelling in it is a possibility (immigration/ legally speaking).

We both have British driving licences, and as far as we can make out, we would be covered by his SOAT insurance in Peru anyway. What papers/ procedures would be required for us to cross the border in his car.

Anybody with any information, of knows where we can find out more, please please let us know!!

Just make sure that's there's no ''nieve'' stuffed in the car or you might get a few years free stay at the 'Piedras Gordas' hostal.

Tyres, bumpers, inside of doors, seat cushions are popular places to stuff ''nieve''.
