Peru costs are very reasonable compared to other S. American countries.

A lot depends on where you're living in Peru. Big city Lima - big city prices.
Living in fly over country out in the boonies in a straw hut or a flophouse, then it's a bargain.

Alpine, any city in particular?

By the way, expats who take the decision to nationalize as Peruvians can easily migrate to other countries in the Andean pact to live or work. This includes Columbia, Ecuador, and Bolivia.

How does a person become nationalized?
Are there other benefits?
Thanks.

By nationalizing, I mean becoming a citizen. The easiest route is through marriage: https://www.expatperu.com/becoming-peru ... -marriage/

I would live in Medellin as I have many expat friends from Lima, now living their. But,alas My Family will be moving to the USA next year.

Thank you for the info on Naturalization , I always thought it was a lot more complicated. I will definitely go ahead with that as their is a possibility I will move back down and I want to keep my banks and some assets in Peru.
