You get a great corte con navaja here: www.dicarlo.pe

This is the only salon in Lima which not only sells Redken but also uses Redken in the service!

Check it out!

cheers

Corte con navaja = razor cut (I guess) :)
God bless Peru - and all of you!

Last month, I was in Tarapoto and had a haircut for only 3 soles...yes 3 SOLES.

And it was one of the best hairdresser I used.

I feel the price is absurd, but I pay it anyway because the service is awesome and never do I have a complaint. They are clean and very friendly.

I do not remember the name, but it is in Centro Comercial Camino del Inka in Surco, near the corner of Angamos and Camino los Inkas.

It is right in front of the Wong, about half a block up towards the mall, it is the only one on the street.

It is a classic barber shop style building, but they offer full service. I pay 50 soles for a wash, shave and a style cut. He shaves with a straight edge and uses hot towels and gives a massage afterwards.

On Av. Rep de Panama, near the corner of Angamos (in Surquillo) - just across Panama in front of Ace (Maestro) Home Center. Wait for the guy with the mustache. 5 soles, excellent hair cut, scissors, razor, just tell him what you want. He's one of those guys that knows how to read the shape of your head and the direction your hair grows to give you the right cut - he's the only person we've found that can cut my son's hair in a way that doesn't leave it sticking straight up like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals.

Wash, cut, style, hand razor shave with hot towels and mustache trim with shoulder, head and hand massage.

My extravagance, and I cringe when think about the price, but when i walk out of there, I feel it was worth every centimo.

50 soles sounds like a bargain if you walk out with an excellent cut that makes you feel super attractive for the rest of the day.

It's one of the great things about Peru, sure you can get some services super cheap, there are certainly much cheaper hairdresser's, but you can also pay a little more and get fabulous results. I did that with dentistry, went to one who was expensive by local standards, but cheap compared to the US, and got great work done.
