Has anyone seen Tahini being sold anywhere in Lima? Or pre-made hummus?

Appreciate any information!

Is it easy to make Tahini? I tried looking for a recipe, but couldn't find one! Cheers.

It is if you can find the sesame seeds. I found some already ground and some whole. Both work fine.

Tahini can be found occasionally at the bioferia in Miraflores... I believe the stand "Ayni" sells it. Otherwise, hummus can be found at Madre Natura and at the restaurant Tierra Santa on Schell @ Larco.

enjoy!

Found hummus at a place called La Crocante. There are different locations around Miraflores/San Isidro, some in gas stations. The one I know is on J. Vanderghen, just about a block away from Santa Cruz. Very near the Ovalo Gutierrez.

I bought the hummus that they sell at La Crocante...it was delicious but quite expensive! 28 soles for a small jar. Definitely worth the occasional splurge though!
