Review: Al Toke Pez Surquillo

Al Toke Pez Av. Angamos 886, Surquillo
Open 8:30AM-3:00PM
WOW Unbelievable
Finally someone knows how to cook.
Young guy with his mother and a helper in a place that resemble garage with only six seats in the front.
I am very picky about food and I can tell this chef knows what he is doing.
Ceviche (perico) and clams were very delicious . The fish (saltado) is fried only a minute in high temperature and retain all the juices and flavor. the amount of spices is precise nothing overcome the other.
Best Peruvian ingredients combined with Japanese perfection.
Highly recommended.

Edan,

I just wanted to say "Thanks" for these reviews. They are fun to read and you evaluations have been bang-on with my own experience at the places you have written about.

I saw that place on Bizarre Foods and I see you posted a link below to the places Andrew Zimmern visited. Good to hear that these little places that try hard are getting a bit of publicity.

Best restaurant in Peru. I like surquillo chicharron pescado (fried fish) which is yummy and delicious.
