Peru is a great country to drive a motorbike. Few cars, trucks or buses.

I drove all around La Selva. The roads were in good condition. I drove hours on end and only passed few other people on the road.

A great journey is the road from Moyobamba to Yurimaguas via Tarapoto. Just fill up your tank as there are few gas stations on the road and their opening hours are limited. Often they run out of gas too.

Another great route is from Tarapoto to Buenos Aires. It takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes. You'll pass the ferry port where you can take the ship to go to La Laguna Azul.
