Postponed for security issues sounds intriguing. Shooting a film is like going to war and having to deal with daily unexpected problems, putting out fires, etc.. Hope it all works out.

Production assistant, production coordinator, production manager, location scout, and some other below the line positions. Nothin' fancy, but I was never a grip.

Those jobs are better known as gopher jobs, grips make a lot more money than any gopher.

For sure on production assistants. Everybody's gotta start at the bottom if you're not the beneficiary of nepotism. When you make it to production coordinator you're the one telling people what to go-for. By production manager you're not dealing with any of that and are working with the producers. Working as a location scout was my favorite job in that industry - lot of travel, lot of autonomy. Pretty much everyone on the set gets paid decent once they get past the go-fer stage and if you're in that go-fer stage for any amount of time you're probably in the wrong industry. Did you work in the industry 69?

Somewhat crude joke:

What's the difference between a grip and a best boy?

The best boy takes the dishes out of the sink before using it as a urinal.

I think I heard that one before went like this, What's the difference between a producer and a production assistant? The production assistant takes the dishes out of the sink before using it as a urinal.
