I’m confused about the chorological order of the photos. The first photo seems to be the oldest, given the clothing and lack of cars and electric trolley tracks, yet the church appears to be further along in construction than in the second and third photos, and the park looks to be more manicured, which suggests a considerable amount of time between the photos. Anyone have any thoughts on the apparent contradictions?

Photo#1 was taken from the top of what is now Interbank. It is looking east along Av. Elias Aguirre, which at the time of the photo was Av. Real.
Photo#2 is again taken from the top of Interbank. Though the camera angle is identical to photo #1, the content is drastically different.
Photo#3 is another view of the church and park. Chiclayo’s city offices are now located in the building visible between the trees.
Photo#4 was taken at ground level with a portion of the church and park on the left, again looking east along Av. Elias Aguirre at the intersection with Av. Balta Norte.
Photo#5 is the same view today. It is the only camera angle I have been able to duplicate so far.
Photo#6 is looking west along Av. Elias Aguirre and was taken from the top of one of the buildings in photo#4. The building on the left is now Interbank. The convent in the center was completely demolished. In its place is the modern Patrimonio cultural de Chiclayo.
Photo#7 is an older aerial view of Pimental.
