Good to see British diplomats trying to smooth the way for Peru to agree what has already been agreed between the Peru and the EU so it can be extended. Hopefully Peru won't realise that the UK would probably agree terms far less favourable to the UK than that negotiated previously by the EU, just to try and pretend as Boris Johnson would have it, "countries are queuing up to strike trade deals with us!". Peru may do as many other countries are bound to do, wait till the UK start sweating about WTO trade terms coming into affect to get the best deal they can.
