Floods in Northern Peru

Postby KenBE » Tue Mar 21, 2017 9:21 am

I am not in Peru at the moment, but I have talked with Peruvian friends in Trujillo and Chimbote and it is really bad there right now. Both cities are cut off from the rest of the country and are running out of food and water:

Thanks for sharing the videos, Ken. The North, Trujillo and Piura particularly, seem to be taking the biggest hit. Our problems in Lima seem small in comparison. It's going to be a rocky week as more rains are forcast, and a rough year as this is going to hit the country financially. Money that could be spent on new clinics, roads and schools will go to rebuilding existing ones. Thankfully, the government has money set aside for contingencies.
