Barranco Roomate

Postby douglas8 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:50 pm

Hello All

Male 30's looking for one other person to share an apt in Barranco. I don't have one yet but looking for someone to start looking for a 2 bedroom share.

I am a teacher/filmmaker here, fairly low key and respectful thus looking for the same. Don't smoke so don't want to live with a smoker thanks.

(p.s. only interested to live with one other person not a big share house thing)

I am also moving to Barranco, looking for an apartment share. I'm 26, female, like to cook, speak very good Spanish (would like to speak at least some spanish at home too). I'm excited about the atmosphere that Barranco has a reputation for...it seems fun and artsy but still has a homey feeling, unlike Miraflores which is a constant party. I like to explore the city and love the outdoors, although my job will be very busy so during the week I'll be pretty tranquila.

If anyone is interested in exploring some housing options, let me know. You can reply here or email kendrahennig@gmail.com.

If anyone has any advice on the best ways to find an apartment while still here in the states, I'd love to hear it!

I'd like to throw myself into this crowd, too.
I'm 27, seeking a shared place in Miraflores or Barranco (or somewhere someone attests is quite safe and nice).
My caveat is that I'm planning to stay through February and maybe March. So, if you're looking for a renter to help supplement income but for a shorter period of time, I'm also newly arrive-ed!

Adding a fourth tagger-on.
I'm 24, female, and will be in Lima to study Spanish at ECELA. I'm looking for a place to stay at for about a month or so (perhaps it will be longer) and I'm fairly flexible on the type of place...I've lived in so many different type of places (solo, small apartments, coops with 20 people, homestays, etc.) and loved them all. I'm fairly clean, respectful, and love to cook. Ideal would be a friendly place with a few people that I can relax with in the evenings after-school. My email is emptystomach3@yahoo.com

Adding a fifth...

I am a 25 year old male looking for an apartment to share in Barranco. I have been conducting academic research in Peru and have become an English teacher apart from my studies in philosophy and literature. I am clean, tidy, respectful, with a good sense of humor, and do not smoke. I would appreciate a reasonably priced place with good roommates.

Hey everyone. Can I get in on this. My name is Emily. Im a 25 year old female from the states. I just got a job in Lima so I need to find a place pretty quick. Ive been volunteering in Ayacucho for a couple months so Im headed back there tonight to pick up my things and Ill be back in Lima by next weekend.

Im a nonsmoker, I like pets, but I dont have any. I am really easy-going, have spent the last few years living and working in different corners of the world. I like to go out on the weekends but also enjoy being low key at times. I´ll probably be cooking dinner in most nights. I speak fluent French and can get by with Spanish but it definately needs improvement. In general, Im just looking for someplace fun and safe, for around 400 soles a month or less if possible.

Good luck on your searches everybody and I hope to be in touch.

Cuidate,
Emily

Hi!

I'm a lawyer who works at Catolica University. I'm 28 years old and I have an 3 bedroom apartment for rent in Barranco. As of today, there are only two rooms available for S/.350 (per room, per month), the total cost of the utilities will be split between all the occupants (in average 90 or 120 soles each one). The apartment is completely furnished (including phone and a T.V). If you are interested, you can send me an e-mail to carlajeannette@gmail.com or villarreal.cj@pucp.edu.pe, for any questions or to set a date to show you the apartment.

Thank you.

Hello!

My name is Lauren, I'm 26 and I'm from California. I work for a cultural exchange company and I just found out I'm transferring to our new office in Lima in mid March. I'm looking for roommates or renters- I speak fluent Spanish and spent a couple years in Spain, I'm easy to get along with, not a smoker but don't care, love animals/have none, and plan on being down there for at least a year or more. From what I've read, Barranco and Miraflores look great and close to where I'll work. I am beyond excited about moving down and seriously intent on exploring, love meeting new people but am also independent.

let me know if you're in the market!!

Well, I guess I will jump in this. I am moving to Lima April 1. I am looking for a place to rent for 4 months. I hope to find someone who can accommodate that.

I am 32, single, male, very relaxed. I will be working online during the day, and some fun at night. Cheers to all!!!

Jumping on the bandwagon...30yo US male, stably employed, resident in Peru (CE and everything), needing a place March 1-June 30 or July 30, possibly able to do a 6-month lease. The owner of the place where I am now wants his apartment back.

Anyone and everyone, feel free to hit me up.

Hi everyone! I have just rented an awesome two-bedroom apartment in Barranco for the months of March and April. I am looking for a roommate for these two months.

Also, it may be possible that I must leave the apartment for April (although I already have the contract signed and paid for these two months), so if you were to occupy it you could either bring in a second person that month or keep it for yourself. Or, I could have one person for just this month and have a new person or pair enter for the month of April…there are a lot of options.

It’s two bedrooms with two bathrooms, a kitchen, office-and-living room, and a utility room. It is right near all of the fun in Barranco and safe, with a gate and guard. The monthly rent includes cleaning service and all of utilities, and the rent itself would just depend on how long you were staying and when you are to come in.

I am a 26-year old professional working in the social sector here. I love living with people, though also enjoy my own space to be able to work or relax. I speak Spanish fluently and would be happy to either speak English or all Spanish with whoever were to move in. Give me a shout at kendrahennig@gmail.com if you are interested!
