Working for Langrow?

Postby rsordillo » Tue Sep 30, 2014 12:08 pm

I came across this thread from 2009http://www.expatperu.com/expatforums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6572&p=47272&hilit=langrow#p47272

And it basically says avoid Langrow, has anyone had any similar experiences recently and are there any other schools to avoid?

Langrow have made me an offer but their payment terms are ridiculous, I wouldn't see my first pay until the end of November. If they do pay!!

I am sure that in November they will come up with some story that they ran out of cash but they will promise to pay you in January.

I would avoid any company, school, or similar, that employs people illegally. If not expect to be messed around, with little or no redress.

Even the ones that employ people legally do funny things with teachers.
It's a hit or miss. Just like anthing else in Peru.

All these places try to take advantage out you gringos.
Even the bigger ones like Euroidiomas. I swear, I would have made a claim at the ministry of labor, but my husband told me he did not want to make a big fuss for the pennies he was getting from them.

Argidd
