what are you owed in life?

Postby teamoperu » Sat Nov 22, 2014 6:27 am

There have been some statements here that you are owed a job, welfare payments, housing, ad nauseum. This is an attitude of entitlement, frustration, insecurity and often bitterness and resentfulness.

There are some individuals who are always ready for a handout and think that they are owed a living. This is untrue. What are you owed in life? Enter with nothing, Leave with nothing. Make a positive difference in the middle. You are owed nothing and everything you acquire should be acquired through hard work not handouts. Life is very much what you make of it.

Life doesn’t owe us a damn thing — it’s already given us everything we have and everything we are. It’s given us a body, mind, intellect to provide for our need for air, food, water. What more we make of what has been given to us depends on us not the government, not your neighbour.

Of course, there are some who need a help from time to time and I for one help them as best I can. It is not their entitlement, it is part of my obligation to make the community better. It is disgraceful some people take advantage of that.

In some countries, a job pays less than wellfare. You can't make ends meet on a job but you can on wellfare.

Politicians all live off the back of people that work but people are just blaming the poor souls who can't fend for themselves and have no other options than to live off wellfare.

Politicians claim much more than the poor soul who can't get a job because of his age or healthproblems.
