Whole rotisserie chicken - 9.90 soles

Here in Huaral, Plaza Vea has had whole rotisserie chicken for 9.90 soles for the last 4 weeks!
This seems like a fantastic price; what is the price elsewhere in Peru?
There are a lot of chicken operations in the Huaral area, so this may make a difference.
Enjoy!

- Clean(er) air
- Cheap housing
- Cheap veggies

There are downsides, too, no doubt, but if you want to live a cheaper, quieter life, it's not a bad option.

Are you sure they are "chickens"? How's the pigeon population?

Yeah, one of those downsides living next to a chicken operation would be flies, mosquitoes and the need for a zapper...

That's true. I have experience plagues of flies in homes close to chicken farms. A horrendous experience.

It is a CHICKEN, the same size as those in most other supermarkets (like Plaza Vea).
If you want the fries & bottle of soda, the price is s/. 14.90.
Huaral is perfect for us as we can be in Lima within 2 hours if we leave before the traffic is an issue.
I am glad I enjoy chicken cause we eat a lot at these prices.

Maybe we are going to be neighbors, because I am planning to buy a House in Santa Rosa or Ancon.

In the future, there will be a new "Tren de Cercanias". It will connect Lima with Huacho (Huaral included) and Lima with Cañete, but probably will have to wait 10 or more years :D

Cool looking video.
And extending all the way to Ica as well.
I can picture exploding property values and well as an increase in tourists/work commuters since it would be faster to travel.

Trains will certainly open up these areas to more opportunities.
Thanks for the video.

My comment was aimed at Formidable's use of the word "dag"....nothing else. It's a rather common word in the Kiwi idiom.

He claims it was a promotion and not the normal price.

Absolutely correct, mate.
It means a lock of wool matted with dung hanging from the hindquarters of a sheep.

Cheers!

I´ve seen these price for a roasted chicken in Plaza Vea here in Lima.

Let's be honest, it is not the best Pollo a la brasa you can taste, because it is roasted in the same store with a hot air machine, it is not a real pollo a la brasa...
