Milco the Mascot

Postby Slippin' Jimmy » Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:25 am

A few subtle differences but it seems he was modeled a bit like Bart Simpson...

But his head is similar to Bart.
Besides, I'm not the only one who thinks he looks like Bart...

Jimmy, I do not necessarily disagree, just was showing the source

BTW, People from Huaral are very proud that their design won. There was 3 finalist all of them representing iconic figures from Peru:

LOL He does look like Bart. Let's hope the producers of The Simpsons doesn't see it, could be some copyright infringement.

Caricatures are usually inspired in real things (animals, plants, etc) therein lies their similarities

Well you are almost right. Caricatures ARE inspired by real things, not usually. Caricatures are not as similar as live horses and lizards are, as you stated.

The similarity depends on the observer It is quite valid that someone could find similarities between Milco and Bart

Going back to the topic . The inspired source for the 3 drawing are a peruvian Lizard, a peruvian flower and a peruvian huaco (cuchimilco).

There is no copyright involved , but could exist similarities in the design because of the source (Lizard, Flowers and so on) are real things that are spreaded all over the World
