Should we be pissed off?

As many of you already are aware, we have a cottage for rent in Huaral (population 62,000).
In Huaral we have all the major cell phone carriers, but Bitel has the most towers & thus the best coverage.
My wife purchased a nice smartphone & was very pleased until she dropped the phone.
We have tried Bitel and numerous cell phone repair shops to find a replacement glass faceplate - NOTHING!
Shouldn't a cell phone carrier have replacement faceplates available to purchase?
Currently, the cell phone is not functional & is in our "junk" drawer.
Any suggestions? Thanks for your anticipated help.

It's not the repair shop or phone carrier responsibility to have a particular faceplate in stock for a particular type phone.
You say it's not functional. Could be more than the faceplate that's damaged.
So to answer your question, no, "we" shouldn't be pissed off but since "we" took the time to start a thread about it then it's clear "we" are pissed off.

IMO, any company that sells an item of "value" should have parts to fix this item.
This applies to a car to a vacuum cleaner & everything in between.
The phone is not functional as the cracks are extensive over the faceplate but does work if you have the patience for the various buttons to engage.

I think you are right in being a little pee'd off. The company ought to stock parts, at least for a few years.. espcially something as breakable as a glass cellphone face. Have you tried Alibaba? It would take a couple weeks to deliver, but a lot of this type of thing gets sold through this portal.

Who sells something with no "value"? Better yet, who buys something with no "value"?
IMO "value" is in the eye of the beholder. Have you ever heard of "insurance"?

Hi,

There are a lot of specialized technicians In Lima for repairing cellphone.. Some of them are the best in LATAM..

AFAIK, not all cellphone are repairable, but just take you cellphone and ask for a diagnosis , and if it is repairable

Paruro in downtown of LIma is a good place to look for technicians

You did not present a YouTube vid, I am guessing there are not many "specialized technicians In Lima for repairing cellphone".
Just a wild guess.

People have told us the Bitel cell phones use inferior components, maybe your tech can verify this.
