I hope that Peruvians try to refrain from giving in to xenophobia - in every kind of nationality there are bad apples - including our own - and we have sent enough immigrants around the world to know what having to put up with racism and xenophobia is like - no need to do it ourselves now the 'shoe is on the other foot' if the Venezuelans aren't our people who are deserving of our help then who are?

The liklehood is that when the situation improves in Venezuela, most of them will return home but history will remember this kind and charitable act - missing from a lot of modern governments these days, and the ones that do end up staying in Peru will - I am sure - be a huge benefit to our country in the long run.

(Goes without saying though that we deport criminals - wherever they are from...)

Can't they find some single guys?
