Chincheros fiasco

Postby Alan » Fri Feb 03, 2017 12:32 pm

A really interesting article by a long-time journalist living in the Sacred Valley, about the futility of building the Chincheros airport. According to him, it's good money after bad. Worth a read.

When a consortium of people are paid $230,000 per hectare; you already have a grand fiasco!
This project reeks of bribes & kickbacks; of which Peru seems to have many lately.
Now PPK is going to make things even worse by trying to make a airport out of this extremely expensive former potato fields?
I had read the article before & hoped someone/anyone would realize the absurdity of this venture.

This airport is a need, bot people want to take advantage of it. that's not fair.
