In mid July, 2007, the management of the restaurant in this cozy hotel was taken over by Robert Lazarte, an experienced Peruvian chef who has 5 diamond boutique hotel management experience in the US. Robert is a fabulous host and arranges gourmet dishes, beautifully presented, out of ordinary food. He currently offers a three course lunch for under S15, each course as elaborate and beautiful as the previous. He can also handle group bookings. The wonderful thing about Robert\'s restaurant is his personal service - he makes every client feel special and will ask what you feel like, make suggestions, then speak to the cooks to put it together. The result is a Peruvian meal with an international flair. At the moment he is still working on a menu per se, which is another of the unique niceties of this friendly garden spot near the Marriot, but away from the bustle of Juan Larco.

Excellente Cantonese food!!. This is the typical humble place where food is great. The quality of the food is comparable to the ones in Vancouver, San Francisco or Hong Kong.

Qendo is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at. The price range is from 13.00 soles to 39.00 soles. The food is a mix between Japanese and Peruvian Creole. The service, well, if you want to be treated as if you are a star, then Qendo is the place to go. The food is great, the flavors are unique. Resevations may be needed, you can call 445-5021 and ask. Great new retaurant that is a mix of Japanese and Peruvian Creole. The chef is 1 of the top chefs in Peru. The staf is great and you feel as if they are only serving you. Their # 445-5021 I have eaten at many restaurants, but I consider Q\'endo one of the best.

This sandwich cart has the rest hands down. With the biggest patties, heapings of papas al hilo and a great secret sauce the price to value ratio is excellent. Our recommendation is the pollo royal. Eating on the street has never been as clean or safe as it is here.

Excellent selection of all the best Peruvian sea food dishes. Owner/Chef Gaston Acurio has put together an excellent Peruvian menu with an upscale twist. An excellent place to take your foreign visitors to try one of the long list of ceviches, tiraditos, or creatively displayed causas. With La Mar's opening in Mexico and Washinton DC, this year, Gaston's plan to export Peruvian cuisine is well under way.

Reasonably priced authentic Japanese cuisine. Great selection of Japanese kitchen (non-sushi) foods. Best deal is the buffet-style option where you can sample a wide variety of foods (all you can eat)beautifully presented and served to your table for only s/28 at lunch and s/32 at dinner.
Tom and Lucia are food lovers and the publishers of the Silver Llama Dining Guide. Tom hails from the US, but has lived in Peru most of his life. Lucia is Peruvian. Both consider that Peruvian cuisine is one of the best in the world.
