Bank of China to launch commercial banking products in Peru

 Bank of China has announced its plans to launch commercial operations in Peru, looking to fund mining, infrastructure, transport, and energy investments. In addition, the bank plans to facilitate the entry of Peruvian companies into the Chinese market.
Speaking to Gestion newspaper at the opening of the bank's first office in Peru, its new General Manager Xiao Lijun said "we will help Peruvian companies to enter the Chinese market to sell produce such as cranberries or avocados".
The bank plans to open offices across Peru, offering a range of commercial products to Peruvian companies, including offering loans in Chinese currency. "There are Peruvian companies interested in taking out loans in Yuan, so they can be more competitive", Xiao.
