With presence in 420 cities and with more than three million members worldwide, it is one of the largest social networks catering to expats working and living abroad. InterNations hosts more than 6,000 events and activities every month. Its members interact about their individual and shared experiences abroad in a secure online and offline environment. Currently, membership is by approval only.

Transitions Abroad – This is one of the oldest guides for expats traveling, studying, working and living abroad. It offers a very comprehensive look at every conceivable aspect of expat life. They have a wide range of articles with tips on deciding where to go, how to find work and how to feel at home wherever you are.

Expat Focus – This site used to focus mostly on financial issues related to expats – such as taxation, investment and health insurance – but it has now become one of the largest websites out there, with valuable information for expats living all over the world. Escape Artist – Escape Artist aims to be the most comprehensive source for information, resources, analysis, and insights for expats. With offices in the United States, Belize, Panama, and Portugal, this site was established with a mission to inspire and engage expatriates with credible news and unique content, while building an international expat community. – This website is a discussion board for British citizens living overseas.

Overseas Vote Foundation – The Overseas Vote Foundation develops and provides online tools to assist US citizens living anywhere in the world to register to vote and request their absentee ballot using their state’s specific voter forms. This includes US citizens living within the US, living abroad or serving in the military. – Similar to InterNations, is a large community of expatriates from all around the world. It has more than 2 million members from 197 countries. They offer a wide range of services, from health insurance to job and housing listings. They also have a calendar with events, useful articles and a travel tickets fair comparison resource, which helps you find the best flight tickets to and from different parts of the world.
